THE OTHER SIDE OF PORTO

In the heart of Porto, a parallel city rises, built from light, sound and movement. An immersive and interactive journey through 19 rooms that carries you from past to future, blending art, science, the city’s history and imagination.
Getting here
Aliados (yellow line), just a 5-minute walk from the museum, is the nearest metro station. Trindade station – where all Porto metro lines connect – is a 9-minute walk away. And the closest train station is São Bento, located just 10 minutes on foot.
There are several parking options available in the area, but we recommend confirming opening hours before your visit.
If space is available, you can park on Rua de José Falcão (metered zone).
Other options include nearby “Saba” underground car parks at the junction of Rua do Almada and Rua Elísio de Melo, or at Praça de Carlos Alberto.
All parking options are paid.
The layout of the space and the room experiences have been designed to accommodate visitors with reduced mobility as best as possible. Both the building entrance and the transition between Neonia’s two floors allow for wheelchair access.
However, due to structural constraints, three rooms are not accessible to wheelchairs: the Metro do Porto and Jardim rooms on floor 0, and the Cofre Psicadélico room on floor -1.

FAQ
We estimate that each visit may take between 1 to 2 hours, but do not set a mandatory minimum or maximum duration. This is because time spent in the museum depends entirely on each visitor’s curiosity, enthusiasm, and availability. (Some visitors leave after 45 minutes, others only after 2-3 hours, when their phone battery runs out!)
The only exception is the first room, “Neonia City”, where the maximum stay is limited to 15 minutes. This limit was set to avoid blocking the entrance for incoming groups. In all other rooms, there are no time limits.
Ticket prices can be consulted here or at the physical ticket desk, at the museum entrance.
In both cases, tickets are sold directly, so there is no price difference between tickets purchased online or in person at the same time.
We do not set any age limits (minimum or maximum) for entry, and admission is free for children aged 2 and under.
Any child under 12 must be accompanied by an adult and may only use the slide if aged 3 or above.
Pushchairs shall be stored in a designated stroller parking area and parents will be requested to carry babies either in arms or using a baby carrier to ease movement inside the museum.
IMPORTANT: The multimedia installations and artworks within the museum deserve (and require!) care and protection. Therefore, it is essential that adults provide close supervision of the children in their care throughout the visit.
A ticket-holding child may only enter and remain in the museum unaccompanied from the age of 12.
Our assistants are available to accompany (rather than guide) visitors throughout the experience.
However, each artwork or installation is accompanied by a QR code for those who wish to learn more, with information available in 5 languages.
The visit is not recommended for individuals with pacemakers, epilepsy, claustrophobia and/or severe light sensitivity. It is the responsibility of each visitor to assess and decide on their own participation, as well as that of any children under their supervision.
If you are unable to arrive at the reserved date and time, we will do our best to accommodate your entry up to ten minutes later. After this grace period, the ticket will be cancelled without refund. To avoid this, we recommend arriving at reception 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled time.
Refunds are not available. However, if you are unable to attend at the scheduled date and time, you may notify us via info@neonia.com up to 48 hours in advance and request to reschedule your visit to another available session within the following 60 days. A rescheduling fee of up to €3 per ticket may apply.
Yes, it is possible to change your booking (subject to availability on the requested date and time), provided the request is made at least 48 hours in advance.
Changing the time on the same day is free of charge, as long as there is availability in the new slot.
Changing the date is subject to a rescheduling fee of up to €3 per ticket, and if the ticket price on the new date is higher than what was originally paid, the difference in price must also be covered.
Yes, we offer a special rate for groups of 8 or more: all visitors pay the child ticket price, regardless of age.
We recommend wearing trousers or fitted shorts. The route includes a slide and a fully mirrored room, which reflects the floor and may cause discomfort to those wearing skirts, dresses, or loose-fitting shorts.
For safety reasons, entry is not permitted barefoot or wearing flip-flops.
Yes! Neonia is a unique and exciting setting for unforgettable birthday celebrations. When purchasing 8 or more guest tickets at group price, we offer a free ticket for the birthday child and one accompanying adult (or, if the birthday guest is an adult, their own ticket).
After the visit, we provide free access to a private, covered room where you can sing “Happy Birthday” and cut the cake. The room will be assigned depending on availability at your chosen time.

More than just a museum, Neonia is a stage where art comes alive… and you become part of it!
Across 1500 m² and 19 immersive rooms, Porto’s landmarks like the Clérigos Tower, Mercado do Bolhão and the Crystal Palace Gardens are reimagined in dazzling new ways.
From original murals and sculptures to multimedia installations, light and mirror games, plasma balls and lasers, every detail is designed to challenge perception and spark creativity.
An adventure for all the senses, perfect for families, friends and explorers of all ages.
